Well, the spammers have finally found my site and unleashed their fury. I’ve been getting about 5-8 spam comments a day from various bots that search the internet and plague wordpress blogs.
As such, I’ve been forced to install the Akismet plugin, which should help cut down on quite a bit of spam and hopefully won’t make it more difficult for real people to make comments or add their thoughts.
Anyway, I’ll try it and see how it works out.

Akismet helps, but it’s not fool proof. Just don’t install Bad Behavior with it (though I’m not sure this is still an option) – I once did and it blocked me from logging in to my own blog!
